- A poem by Kristine Ocampo -

When the end of  a book is already known,
Will you still bother to read it on?
When the rhythm of a song is gone,
Will you still appreciate its tone?

When a rainbow becomes colorless
Will it still be called rainbow?
When a bird losses its wings,
How can it now travel the world?

Love is dead when
Like a fire without its heat
Like a water without oxygen
Like an air you cannot breathe

Like a tree without its roots
Like a rose without its petals
Like a blood that's not crimson
Like a "me" without a "you"

So why don't you look at me one more time
And let's give love a second try
We'll rewrite the end of our book
And bring back the rhythm of our song

We'll return the color of the rainbows
And be the wings of the eagle
We'll ignite and heat our hearts
And save water and air and ice

We'll regrow the roots of the forest
And collect the rose and its petals
We'll make blood crimson again
To have me and you till the end.
